Wikihistory, a time travelling short story by Desmond Warzel

Hitler Graffiti

Wikihistory, written by Desmond Warzel, is a quirky little short story about an International Association of Time Travelers, told in the format of back and forth posts on a subforum. (The fancy term for that is an epistolary, something I found out recently).

It tells the story of people proudly proclaiming their assassinations of Hitler in forums posts, thinking they’ve done the world a favour by removing the leader of the German Reich from history. Meanwhile a veteran member of the association points them to the rules and grumbles about always having to go back and prevent their misguided do-goodery. Humourously written and well worth the ten minutes to read, the ending couldn’t be any more perfect.
